First Day of Spring and International day of Happiness

At this time of the year, we notice children taking big leaps in their development. Our Nursery and Foundation Stage children make big advances in their physical development, social skills and academic abilities. Along with that, our Primary children are showing consistent gains in their understanding and application of English language, mathematical and science ability and overall independence. It really is a wonderful time to be a child. With the cold weather mostly behind us, it is time to look forward to warmer temperatures and more outside learning and activities in the next term.

March 5th - World Book Day. This is always a huge day for costumes! So, get thinking… which book character would your child like to be? Remember, a character from a book and not a movie.

First Day of Spring and International day of Happiness
March 20th is the first day of Spring and also the International Day of Happiness. We will celebrate this event on March 19th. This means that after that date, the northern hemisphere begins to be tilted more toward the sun, resulting in increasing daylight hours and warmer temperatures. Children will bring a plant on that day so we can plant it in a garden and enjoy our first day of spring. This year's theme is Happier Together, focusing on what we have in common, rather than what divides us. Everyone wants to be happy - and life is happier when we're together. So let's celebrate our common humanity
